Got asked for directions like a local would
Met some of my favorite actors

Experienced incredibly intense theatre
5 shows- 5 days
Left another huge piece of my heart in the city that never sleeps.
I want to live in Brooklyn. The Sunset Park area was lovely. My cousin lives in that area and it was quite nice.
I need to get employed at a Starbucks ASAP. That will be the easiest ticket to getting there with a pre-existing job I think.
This trip made moving there seem more like a reality, less like a fantasy. And I am SO SO SO excited about that fact.

Seeing 5 whole shows in 5 days was amazing. Even more amazing was the fact that every single one of them was WONDERFUL. Not a complaint anywhere in my book.
I only saw one musical- Once: A New Musical- and I'm thoroughly obsessed. They were in previews when i was there, so I saw a preview performance. Their official opening was last night and I'm crossing my fingers that they have an incredible, long, run and win lots of Tony Awards. I havent seen a musical so honest and heartfelt and beautiful in a VERY long time. And Cristin Milioti in the part of 'Girl' was captivating. She needs an award. NOW.
Listen to their cast recording on Spotify, the link above will take you there, and if it speaks to you I suggest buying it. I'm all for supporting this show. They started at the New York Theatre Workshop, which is where I saw An Illiad, and it's a theatre company interested in creating and producing new and developing talent.
I want to talk about Sleep No More, but it kindof deserves its own post... so maybe later this week. :)

This is lovely, my sweet! I LOVED Once the movie and its soundtrack, and hearing you talk about its show makes me want to go to NYC RIGHT NOW to see it!!! I'm glad you had a good spring break; this sounds like the perfect New York week! Now, let's both get jobs at Starbucks and then move to NYC and live together when you graduate, K? K. :) Love you!
